    applicable MACT(s)
  • Sources that hold Operating and/or Construction
    Permits (and pay emission fees) are not charged
    additional MACT fees
  • HHHHHH Sources that Petition for Exemption are
    charged a one-time 250 fee (this option has
    proved popular among auto-body refinish shops)

Observations/Lessons
  • Many sources are unaware of or wholly unfamiliar
    with EPA regulations
  • Answer the question So what do I actually have
    to do? for sources
  • Face to face meetings are preferred
  • High rate of compliance with emissions
    requirements
  • Many sources lacking all required
    records/notifications/reports
  • Ongoing technical assistance comprises the bulk
    of the workload
