• Grew up on the grounds of Mystic Seaport, where
  his father was Curator from 1953 to 1966
• First mate topsail schooner Shenandoah
• Charter schooner owner (Concordia-designed
  schooner MYA) and captain for 12 summers -
  100-ton Sail and Auxiliary Sail Coast Guard
  license (expired)
• Founding member and past President Sail Marthas
  Vineyard
• Executive Director of the Marthas Vineyard
  Museum for 8 years before rejoining the Mystic
  Seaport last year to work on the Charles W.
  Morgan Restoration Project
• Member Board of Overseers USS Constitution Museum
• Great Grandson of Matthew Pinkham, Master of the
  Whaleship Romulus in the year 1785
