Title: The Whole Truth

1
The Whole Truth
  • Proverbs Week 7

2
The Whole Truth
  1. Dishonesty Disrupts Our Relationships With Others.

3
The Whole Truth
  • He who hates disguises it with his lips, But he
lays up deceit in his heart. When he speaks
graciously, do not believe him, For there are
seven abominations in his heart. Though his
hatred covers itself with guile, His wickedness
will be revealed before the assembly. He who digs
a pit will fall into it, And he who rolls a
stone, it will come back on him. A lying tongue
hates those it crushes, And a flattering mouth
    works ruin.
  • Proverbs 2624-28

4
The Whole Truth
  • Like a club and a sword and a sharp arrow Is a
man who bears false witness against his neighbor.
  • Proverbs 2518

5
The Whole Truth
  • Like a madman who throws Firebrands, arrows and
death, So is the man who deceives his neighbor,
And says, Was I not joking?
  • Proverbs 2618-19

6
The Whole Truth
  • A man who flatters his neighbor Is spreading a
    net for his steps.
  • Proverbs 295

7
The Whole Truth
  • He kisses the lips who gives a right answer.
  • Proverbs 2426

8
The Whole Truth
  1. Dishonesty Disrupts Our Relationships With
    Others.
  2. Dishonesty Disrupts Our Fellowship With God.

9
The Whole Truth
  • Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But
those who deal faithfully are His delight.
  • Proverbs 1222

10
The Whole Truth
  • There are six things which the Lord hates, Yes,
seven which are an abomination to Him Haughty
eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed
innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked
plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil, A false
witness who utters lies, And one who spreads
    strife among brothers.
  • Proverbs 616-19

11
The Whole Truth
  • O naive ones, understand prudence And, O
fools, understand wisdom. Listen, for I will
speak noble things And the opening of my lips
will reveal right things. For my mouth will utter
truth And wickedness is an abomination to my
lips. All the utterances of my mouth are in
righteousness There is nothing crooked or
perverted in them. They are all straightforward
to him who understands, And right to those who
    find knowledge.
  • Proverbs 85-9

12
The Whole Truth
  • A false witness will perish, But the man who
listens to the truth will speak forever.
  • Proverbs 2128

13
The Whole Truth
  • A false witness will not go unpunished, And he
who tells lies will not escape.
  • Proverbs 195

14
The Whole Truth
  • Is there anybody who has reason to mistrust me?
  • Do I need to seek forgiveness?
  • How can I recommit myself to honesty?
