  live and use the vocabulary and concepts in the
  curriculum.

• Class Store-
• Students purchase goods costing 5, 25, or 50
  cents.

• Students make necklaces to sell for 5 cents.

• Citizens of states tell Congress ideas for laws.
• Congress goes to Washington D.C. and writes the
  bills.
• Congress presents bills to the president.

• President signs or vetoes the bills.
• The constitution goes on the wall.
• Amendments are added.

• The president appoints 2 justices.
• The president appoints an ambassador.
• I hire 2 state troopers.
• I hire a postman.

Tying It Together

• On Fridays - Students
• 1. pay income tax and fines to Uncle
• Sam.
• 2. give to our charity.
• 3. visit the bank and class store.
• I am the military in case martial law is
  required.

Unfair?

New Laws

• A survey is taken.
• 15 yes signatures - Survey goes to Congress.
• Bill is written.
• President signs/vetoes.
• Signed - Law is added.

When I get to these units, I just have to review
because my students have used the vocabulary and
lived the concepts all year.
