Changes to cataloging since implementing

• Adding abstracts to electronic theses
• Genre authority records, cleanup
• Biomedical TS doing less duplicating of
  records, particularly theses
• Clean upthings that didnt matter before in our
  ILS, matter now (Did you notice the map icon for
  the movie on Slide 4?)
• Created application profile for us to use with
  non-MARC databases

What do I like?

• FRBR dedup mean the inconsistent assignment of
  subjects and genre, as well as actors,
  performers, etc. do not affect retrieval as much
• Searching is fun again. Users hated our catalog.
  Now we get some good comments on the comment form.
