• CAN YOU GUESS?

• Some people say that shes the best actress of
  her generation, while others say that shes the
  best of all times. One thing is for sure she's
  an American icon. Today she talks to us about her
  latest film.
• What was in particular about Doubt that spoke to
  you?
• I just thought it was a great play, but I never
  thought it was going to be made into a movie.
  Then some time later the director called and
  said-Lets have lunch and talk about it-. He
  explained he wanted his own, new cast and I
  thought that Id really like a crack at this.
  People have drawn parallels between this and my
  role in the Manchurian Canditate and Miranda
  Pristley in The Devil wears Prada. They are
  similar that they are women in power.
• Whats your feelings about being nominated for
  both an Oscar and Bafta and facing Kate Winslet
  twice?
• As you can imagine, this has come up a lot! I
  just have to say its so much more fun to have to
  publicise a film in July, because you talk about
  the film, you dont talk about thelthorse racegt.
  Its almost like a different thing altogether.
  Because theres all the marketingits a
  political thing. Having said that, I think Kate
  Winslet is great, Im glad she wasnt in three
  movies this year(laughs).

• You play a nun in the film. How was the
  experience of wearing no make-up on set?
• The really freeing thing about playing these nuns
  is that you throw away everything that women
  normally throw a great number of hours of the day
  on. What youre wearing, how your hair is, how
  your face looks. Everything is gone.
• Youve played a lot of memorable characters
  throughout your career, is there any youd like
  to revisit?
• I never imagined revisiting any of those roles,
  although theres a word of a sequel to Mamma Mia,
  you might be inflicted with that one again!
• Do you have any tips for this years winners?
• You mean, assuming that I wont be one?(laughs).I
  dont have any tips, you're out of your own body
  at that moment they call your name. It's hard to
  manage your emotions that moment.
