What do I need to do to earn a high school
diploma?
  • Pass all required courses
  • Have good attendance and behavior
  • Pass the CAHSEE (California High School Exit
    Exam)
  • Earn 230 credits

How do you earn credits?
  • Each class you take is worth 5 credits per
    semester
  • Each class must be passed with an A, B, C or D
  • A Fail in a class gives you 0 credits.
  • Fall Semester 30 credits Spring Semester 30
    credits 60 credits per school year.
  • 60 (credits) x 4 years (9th-12th) 240 credits
  • REMEMBER YOU NEED 230 CREDITS TO GRADUATE!

  • If you FAIL a class during the regular semester,
    you can NOT repeat that class during the regular
    school year.
  • All FAILED classes MUST be repeated during
    summer school or, Adult School to graduate on
    time (2013).
