History of Henderson Hall

• built in 1876 as the president's home
• oldest surviving building constructed
  specifically for the campus
• named for William F. Henderson, college physician
  from 1890-1935.
• Henderson Hall is now used for Career Services

  on main st. but cut off by step embankment
• Has no real areas to sit
• Few large trees and a small brick patio

Problems with Henderson Lawn

• No real areas to sit
• Is cut off from the rest of the area, fence
  creates two areas of access
• No water features
