• Motivational Climate setting up a climate or
  environment that promotes development of a task
  or mastery orientation and learning beliefs
  rather than an ego orientation and capacity
  beliefs.
• For example, a teacher establishes a climate
  that focus on enhancing learning as more
  important than getting good grades--challenging
  students to work hard and learn as much as
  possible rather than just getting by and/or
  receiving As.
