1 John 15-7

• This is the message which we have
  heard from Him and declare to
  you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness
  at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with
  Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not
  practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light
  as He is in the light, we have fellowship with
  one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His
  Son cleanses us from all sin.

  assuredly, I say to you, unless you
  eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His
  blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats
  My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life,
  and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For
  My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink
  indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My
  blood abides in Me, and I in him.

• Blessed are the people who
  know the joyful sound! They walk,
  O LORD, in the light of Your countenance. 16 In
  Your name they rejoice all day long, And in Your
  righteousness they are exalted. 17 For You are
  the glory of their strength, And in Your favor
  our horn is exalted. 18 For our shield belongs to
  the LORD, And our king to the Holy One of Israel.

Philippians 214-18

• Do all things without complaining
  and disputing, 15 that you may become
  blameless and harmless, children of God without
  fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse
  generation, among whom you shine as lights in the
  world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that
  I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have

  if I am being poured out as a drink offering on

• Again, a new commandment I
  write to you, which thing is true in
  Him and in you, because the darkness is
  passing away, and the true light is already
  shining. 9 He who says he is in the light, and
  hates his brother, is in darkness until now. 10
  He who loves his brother abides in the light, and
  there is no cause for stumbling in him. 11 But he
  who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in
  darkness, and does not know where he is going,
  because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

• O LORD, I know the way of
  man is not in himself It is not in
  man who walks to direct his own steps. 24 O

Conclusion
It is only in Gods
illumination that we
have the ability to
direct our steps, and the benefits of
Gods protection.
