to his followers. The use of stories made it
easy for the people to understand His teachings.

• Often Jesus would sit among the people in the
  countryside and talk for hours to his followers
  preaching and telling them stories.

• 10 See that you do not look down on one these

• ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven
  always
• See the face of my Father in Heaven.
• 12 What do you think? If a man owns a hundred
  sheep
• and one of them wanders away, will he not leave
  the
• ninety nine on the hills and go to look for the
  one that
• wandered off? 13 And if he finds it, I tell you
  the truth
• he is happier about the one sheep than about the
  ninety-
• nine that did not wander off. 14 In the same way

• Father in Heaven is not willing that any of these

The Humanity of Jesus

• The image of Jesus as a storyteller shows Jesus
  humanity.
• Jesus used stories of human experiences to
  explain Gods teachings to the people.
• Jesus used everyday examples and settings (a
  Wedding Feast, the loss of animals in the fields
  as well as family quarrels) to show the people
  that the good choices they were being asked to
  make could be made in everyday situations.
• This also showed the people that he could relate
  to their problems and could feel as they do.

• God sent Jesus to earth to demonstrate his love
  for us in a human form that we could understand.
• Jesus lived on earth in a human family,
  experiencing the times of happiness, fear,
  sadness and love that we all face.
• The way Jesus used stories or parables of these
  feelings and situations made his followers see
  that all things are possible through Gods power
  especially great bravery and obedience to the
  right ways
