  • To ensure uniform and orderly deployment of
    ambulance teams to serve the eight EMTF regions
    in Texas
  • To provide supplemental emergency patient care
    and transport during large scale incidents
    requiring patient movement

    common communications capability

  • The RN strike team component of EMTF-7 will
    be deployed to augment staffing of a hospital in
    a like-department of an affected jurisdiction.

AMBUS Purpose Mission
  • Planned and designed to ensure uniform and
    orderly deployment of our regional AMBUS
    component of EMTF-7 across the eight EMTF regions
    in Texas
  • To provide the capability for mass patient care
    and transportation, as well as responders during
    incidents which threaten public health safety

Mobile Medical Unit (MMU)Goals
  • 16 32 bed capacity
  • Provide emergency stabilizing care and transfer
  • 6-12 hour launch time for 72-96 hour deployment
  • Clinical and Facilities Groups
  • Standardized minimal supplies, pharmaceuticals,
    and capabilities
  • No x-ray capability
