  • A 3D shape with 2 faces, 1 of which is a circle.
    It has 1 vertex .
  • Congruent
  • Equal in size and shape
  • Co-ordinates
  • Points that are plotted using numbers from the
horizontal and vertical axis. The first value
represents the horizontal axis and the second
value represents the vertical axis. Walk before
    you fly .
  • Cuboid
  • A 3D shape that has 6 faces, 2 of which are a
square and 4 that are a rectangle.
  • Cylinder
  • A 3D shape that has 3 sides, 2 of which are
    circles.
  • Cube (shape)
  • A 3D shape with 6 equal sides.
  • Cube number
  • When something is multiplied by itself and by
    itself again e.g.3x3x327
  • Capacity
  • An amount that something can hold
  • Cube root
  • The inverse of the cube number e.g. .the cube
    root of 27 is 3

6
d
  • Diameter
  • From 1 side to another on a circle. Double the
    radius.
  • Difference
  • Subtract the lowest number from the highest .
  • Digit
  • A symbol that is used to make a number e.g. A
    3-digit number 135.
  • Decimal place
  • a number after the decimal point
  • Decimal point
  • A point that separates whole numbers and decimal
    places
  • Decrease
  • Getting smaller
  • Degree (angle)
  • A measurement of an angle
  • Degree (temperature)
  • A measurement of temperature
  • Diagonal
  • Somewhere between vertical and horizontal.

7
e
  • even
  • A number that is a multiple of 2.
  • Equivalent fractions
  • The same amount they just have different
    numerators and denominators.
  • Edge
  • When 2 faces meet in a 3D shape.
  • Equals
  • The same as.
  • Equilateral triangle
  • A 3 sided shape with all the sides and angles the
    same.

8
f
  • Figure
  • A number written in digits.
  • Face
  • A side of a 3D shape.
  • Factor
  • A number that is divisible by a number exactly.
  • Fraction
  • A number is part of a whole when the whole has
    been split into equal parts.

9
g
  • Gram
  • A unit of measurement for weight.

10
h

11
i
  • Irregular shape
  • Its sides are not all the same length.
  • Isosceles triangle

  • Line graphs are often used for showing changes
    over time
  • Line of symmetry
  • A line which a mirror can be put and will look
    like the shape
  • Litre(millilitre)
  • A unit of measurement for liquid.

15
m
  • Mass
  • Measured in kilograms grams and tonnes
  • Minus
  • Take away
  • Multiple
  • A number that goes into a number exactly

16
n
  • Negative number
  • A number below 0
  • Net of a 3d shape
  • If the net was folded correctly it would make a
    3d shape
  • Numerator and denominator
  • the numerator is the number on top of the
fraction and the denominator is the opposite

17
o
  • Obtuse angle
  • an angle more than 90 but less than 180
  • Odd
