  Meets John Hancock is elected President of
• After Lexington and Concord the 2nd Continental
  Congress met again in Philadelphia

  others for peace

• Authorize the Continental Army army that
  included soldiers from all the colonies

  out of ammo and were forced to retreat
• British General Thomas Gage is victorious in this
  first major battle
