  • A persistent or recurrent deficieny or absence
    of sexual fantasies and desire for sexual
    activity that causes marked distress or
    interpersonal difficulty (Maclaran)

  • Emotional Aspect stress, feeling inadequate,
    emotional condition (relationship problems, body
    image, cultural influences)

    (fatigue, depression, anxiety) unsatisfied, may
    involve menopause, illness or pregnancy

  • Medications like antidepressants have been shown

  • The inability to reach orgasm by sexual
    stimulation marked by distress or interpersonal
    difficulty most commonly found in women who have
    never experienced an orgasm.

  • Drugs and Alcohol
  • Medical conditions that affect nerve supply to
    the pelvis

  • Cannot relax pelvic region enough to allow entry.
