Tuchenhagen currently offer four valve types to
provide flow / pressure modulating capability.

• Type A
• Type S
• Type N with Moore Positioner (N_M)
• Type N with 2 Position Stop (N/16)

Type A

• 316 stainless throughout, including actuator
  housing
• Actuator can be reversed to change from normally
  closed to normally open positions.
• Easily increase product pressure resistance by
  adding springs to actuator or increasing actuator
  size up to 360 psi (OD 1 OD 2).
• Each valve size comes with a number of Cv values
  in equal percentage or linear trim and soft seat
  options.
• Non-Standard Cones Made to Order
• Cv can be easily altered by replacing seat and
  plug of different value.
• Three stage seat to prevent cavitation in high
  pressure drop applications.
• Divert or converge options available for mixing
  and blending
• Pneumatic and Electro Pneumatic Positioners
• Hart Module, Profibus, Ex options

• 316 stainless wetted parts with plastic coated
  steel actuator.
• Actuator can be reversed to change from normally
  closed to normally open positions.
• Product pressures to 150 psi.g
• Each valve size comes with a number of Cv values
  in equal percentage or linear trim. and soft seat
  options.
• Cv can be easily altered by replacing seat and
  plug of different value.
• Pneumatic and Electro Pneumatic Positioners

Type N_Moore

Standard VARIVENT shut off valve Type N fitted
with control cone and Moore Positioner
Fitted with a pneumatic Moore positioner mounted
to a Delrin base, this valve provides an economic
alternative to the Type A or Type S Control
Valves. Easy to calibrate and in normally open or
closed positions, standard VARIVENT actuators can
be utilized for product pressures up to 116 psi.g.

Type N/16

Standard VARIVENT shut off valve Type N fitted
with control cone and 2 position stop.
Besides closed and fully open, the valve can be
pneumatically driven to two partially open
positions. Fully adjustable, the limit stops are
mechanical providing precise and repeatable
positioning. Proximity switches can be fitted to
the lantern
Typically used for coarse and fine flow
adjustment for dosing applications

Type A Max product pressures different for
normally open or normally closed valves. MPP can
be increased by adding springs from 3 to 6. From
OD 2.1/2 valve up, MPP can also be increased by
selecting larger (MFIII-30) actuator.
Type S Max product pressures different for
normally open or normally closed valves.
Type N/16 and N_Moore Select Max Product Pressure
from standard actuator charts. Note that 2
position stop type change with change in actuator
