C. H. Hank Slaight, Jr.

• Hank began his adjusting career in 1949 as an
  auto, fire and allied lines adjuster. In 1954,
  he took a position with General Adjustment Bureau
  (GAB) in their Jonesboro, Arkansas, office. He
  was later transferred to Blytheville, Arkansas,
  as manager, where he officially began his
  experience in the area of cotton losses. He was
  later transferred to Lubbock, Texas, as Manager
  in 1960. In 1966 he was again promoted and
  filled the position of Departmental General
  Adjuster in Dallas.
• By the time he started Slaight Services in 1977
  with his wife, Jenny, his reputation as an expert
  in the field of cotton loss adjustments was known
  worldwide. The company was incorporated in 1978,
  with his two sons, Mark H. and Mike, joining the
  firm. Hank and his family began handling losses
  for Cotton Fire Marine Underwriters, Cotton
  Insurance Association, Insurance Company of North
  America, Lloyds of London, and other London
  Underwriters, as well as becoming the General
  Adjusters for the USDA-ASCS (Cotton Division).
• As a Cotton Adjuster, Hank adjusted and surveyed
  cotton claims in the USA, Mexico Central South
  America, as well as ports located in France, Hong
  Kong, Singapore, Russia, Spain, and Greece.
  Hanks understanding of Full Marine Open Cover,
  Insured Warehouse Receipt (IWR), and Gin Stock
  Floater Policies was recognized and respected by
  individuals connected with the cotton industry
  all over the world. He was also recognized as an
  expert in methods of fighting fires involving
  cotton and cotton by-products, and minimizing
  damage to cotton caused by water. In addition to
  his vast knowledge of cotton insurance policies,
  claims handling, and the cotton industry in
  general, he was also very well known for his
  experience in handling claims involving coffee,
  cocoa, and other related commodities. Hank also
  performed warehouse inspections in locations
  around the world. Hank passed away in 2004.

Mark F. Slaight

• A cum laude graduate of the University of Texas
  at Dallas, Mark began adjusting claims in 1992.
  Over the years, Mark gained valuable knowledge
  and experience handling Inland Marine losses such
  as cargo losses, heavy equipment damage/theft,
  and trip transit. Mark also performs
  Inland/Ocean Marine Cargo Surveys throughout the
  United States, and his reputation as an excellent
  Marine Cargo Surveyor continues to expand
  throughout the industry. He is also experienced
  in handling many types of property losses
  including residential fire, burglary/theft,
  vandalism, foundation, wind, hail, and builders
  risk
• Mark trained under his grandfather, C. H. Hank
  Slaight, Jr., and General Adjuster Bob Prinz in
  the area of Ocean/Inland Marine claims,
  especially cotton, coffee, and cocoa. He has
  mastered techniques for handling losses under Gin
  Stock Floater, Insured Warehouse Receipt (IWR),
  Full Marine Open Cover, and Gin Building
  Machinery Polices. He has handled seed cotton
  losses in the field and at the gin baled cotton
  on the gin yard, on store in warehouses and
  while in transit via truck, rail and ocean
  vessels. Mark also works on gin building and
  machinery losses and various types of seed
  losses.
• Mark works and travels throughout the United
  States, and in Central and South America handling
  losses involving cotton, coffee beans, cocoa
  beans, and cocoa butter. He also performs
  warehouse inspections in North and South America.
• In addition, Mark is experienced in obtaining
  subrogation recoveries from rail carriers,
  trucking companies, and steamship lines, as well
  as coordinating salvage operations on various
  types of cargo.

Christina Slaight Gill

• A magna cum laude graduate of the University of
  Texas at Dallas, Christina began her adjusting
  career in 1989, handling primarily property
  losses, including residential fire,
  burglary/theft and vandalism losses under
  Standard Fire and Homeowners Policies. She is
  also experienced in handling Inland Marine
  losses, such as heavy equipment damage/theft and
  trip transit.
• She also was trained by her grandfather, C. H.
  Hank Slaight, Jr., in the field of Ocean/Inland
  Marine losses involving commodities, particularly
  cotton, coffee and cocoa. She is experienced in
  the handling of claims under Gin Stock Floater,
  IWR, Full Marine Open Cover, and Gin Building
  Machinery Policies. She has handled losses on
  seed cotton in the field as well as at the gin
  and baled cotton on the gin yard, on store in
  warehouses, and while in transit via truck, rail
  and ocean vessel. She also handles losses
  involving coffee beans, cocoa beans and cocoa
  butter.
• Christina is experienced in obtaining subrogation
  recoveries from rail carriers, trucking companies
  as well as steamship lines, as well as
  coordinating salvage operations on various types
  of cargo.
• Christina is an active member of the Texas
  Independent Insurance Adjusters Association,
  serving in the past as President and Co-chair of
  the Education and Seminar Committee.
