7Gratitude and Appreciationto ECE Illinois
- I would like to express my gratitude and
appreciation to the administrators, faculty
colleagues, and staff of ECE Illinois, over my
many years at Illinois since 1965, without whose
support my contributions over the years, leading
to this material, would not have been possible.
8William L. Everitt Laboratory, Home of the ECE
Department, and Temple of Electrical and Computer
Engineering
9- Most of all, it is with great humility that I
acknowledge the immense fortune of having known
in my early years at Illinois three giants of
their time, William L. Everitt, Edward C. Jordan,
and Mac E. Van Valkenburg, whom I consider the
grandfather, father, and uncle of the ECE
Department, respectively. They can be seen in
the picture, on the next slide, which was taken
in 1975.
