• MLA FormatWhat is MLA (Modern Language
  Association) Format?
• It is the format style for your essay paper.
  MLA format also includes punctuation quotation
  guidelines, and your works cited page.
• Revisions to MLA effective April 2009

• The Format
• Follow your the instructors instructions.
• 1 inch margins on all sides of paper
• Double space
• The header should be at the top right hand
  corner of each page, ½ inch below the top edge
  and should include Your last name, and page
  number

• No title page is needed unless your instructor
  requests one
• The upper left hand corner should include Your
  name, your instructors name, the course, the
  date
• The title should be centered on the next line
