Award Programs - High Performing Chapter Award (HPCA) up to U
1000.- for each chapter meeting the conditions
(activities, membership, GOLD, Web-pages,
education, Students, etc) For 2008, 7 chapters
in R9 received U 3650.- (Costa Rica, Morelos,
Panama, Peru, Honduras and Guadalajara) - Outstanding Chapter Award, two U 1000.- prizes
world-wide AND a paid trip to General Meeting for
the ChairIn 2008, Panama and Costa Rica shared
the 2nd. Place (small)In previous years,
Argentina (2002), Puerto Rico (2001), Panama and
Uruguay (2004) have won the First place

Distinguished Lecturer Program, very
successful The Society pays one trip per year per
chapter, and the chapter is in charge of local
arrangements and costs. There are 83
Distinguished Lecturers available, 6 of them in
Region 9 Ramos (SAL), Jardini (BRA), Acha (MEX),
Rudnick (CHI), Gomez (ARG), Fernandez Daher
(UY) Membership Growth Contest,
world-wide Two categories, Large ( gt100) and
Small (lt100) Chapter, each with a U1000.- prize
and its runner-up with U500.- 1st Venezuela
(2007) and Costa Rica (2008) 2nd Uruguay (2009)
Website Contest, world-wide with a
U1000.- prize Costa Rica won the 3rd place in
2008 (U 250.-) Oustanding Engineer Award.
