Microphone Trouble-Shooting Guide

Check hardware

• Make sure physical mute button isnt turned on.
  (Some mic/headphones have that option)

Check hardware

• Make sure headphones plugged into correct
  plug-in, if stereo plug-ins.

Check Computer Volume

• Check volume on computer
• Make sure not on mute
• Volume turned up

Check Audio controls

• Written Instructions or click here to see video
• Start Control Panel
• If Classic View double-click Sounds and Audio
  Devices
• If Category View click Sounds, Speech and Audio
  Devices double-click Sounds and Audio Devices
• Click Audio tab at Top
• Under Sound recording make sure default device
  is your microphone (click to see picture)
• Under Sound recording click Volume
• Turn up volume (if necessary) and make sure
  Mute box is not selected (click to see picture)

• Possibilities
• Microphone is broken, try another
• Audio and sound device in computer isnt working
  properly
• Its not your day try again tomorrow ?
