slurred speech only deficits. FellLeft femoral
neck Fx.. Declined rehab, went home under
husbands care. 2 mo. Later admitted w/ 19cm x 11
cm necrotic Stage IV and Stage Is and IIs next to
this Surgically debridedAfibResp. Failure,
pus extending along fascial planesNec Fasc. So
amputated w/ guillotine at greater
trochanterultimately ending in hip
disarticulation Also received trach,
decompressive gastrostomy, PEJ, sigmoid
colostomy, gluteal muscle flaps 21 operations, 68
days in ICU and 34 days on the floor. She had to
spend the rest of her life in a Nursing
home. Prior to hospitaliztion she was
independent and able to walk up a flight of
stairs.
