• Olefines manufactures ethylene
• Alkatuff and Alkathene plants manufacture
  polyethylene
• Alkathene is low density polyethylene
• Alkatuff is linear low density polyethylene
• LDPE and LLDPE are used in plastic films, coating
  layers, toys and tanks

Qenos Olefins

• Main products are ethylene, propylene, butadiene,
  gasoline and tar
• Feedstocks are ethane and gas oil from Bass
  Strait
• Furnaces are used to crack the feedstock at up to
  900degC
• Distillation is the main separation process

• Manufacture high density polyethylene
• High density polyethylene (HDPE) - made in low
  pressure process
• HDPE is used in milk bottles, containers and
  pipes

• Manufacture high density polyethylene and
  polypropylene
• Low pressure slurry reactors
• HDPE is used in containers, pails and pipes
• Polypropylene (PP) is used in toys, outdoor
  furniture and food containers

Qenos Elastomers

• Manufactures polybutadiene rubber (BR) and
  distributes styrene butadiene rubber (SBR)
• BR and SBR are used in making tyres and retread
• BR - excellent flex and bounce - major component
  in tyre sidewalls
• SBR - excellent wear resistance - major component
  in tyre tread
