  The species is one of three closely related trees
  known as bristlecone pines and is sometimes known
  as the Intermountain or Western bristlecone pine.
  It is a medium-size tree, reaching 16 to 49 ft
  tall and with a trunk diameter of up to 8 ft 2 in
  to 11 ft 10 in in diameter. The bark is bright
  orange-yellow, thin and scaly at the base of the
  trunk.

  Longwood, Florida. It is 125 feet (38 m) tall,

  Seminole Indians and other Native American
  Indians who lived throughout Central Florida used
  this tree as a landmark.

• The Jardine Juniper is an individual of the
  species Juniperus scopulorum found within Logan
  Canyon in the Cache National Forest. Often
  credited with an age of over 3000 years, core
  samples taken in the 1950s revealed that it was
  actually over 1500 years old. It stands
  approximately 40 feet tall and its circumference
  has been measured at 284 inches. Discovered in
  1923 by Maurice Blood Linford while he was a
  student at Utah State Agricultural College, it
  was named after USAC alumnus and former U.S.
  Secretary of Agriculture William Marion Jardine
  (18791955).

  strike reduced it to an enormous withered stump.

  (Sicilian Castagnu dê Centu Cavaddi) is the
  largest oldest known chestnut tree in the
  world. Located on Linguaglossa road in
  Sant'Alfio, on the eastern slope of Mount Etna in
  Sicily only 5 miles from the mountain's crater
  it is generally believed to be 2,000 to 4,000
  years old. It is a Sweet Chestnut (Castanea
  sativa, family Fagaceae). Guinness World Records
  has listed it for the record of "Greatest Tree
  Girth Ever", noting that it had a circumference
  of 190 ft when it was measured in 1780.
  Above-ground the tree has since split into
  multiple large trunks, but below-ground these
  trunks still share the same roots.

  located on Yakushima, a UNESCO World Heritage
  Site, in Japan. It is the oldest and largest of
  nearly 2,000-year-old-growth cryptomeria trees on
  the island, and is estimated to be between 2,170
  and 7,200 years old. Other estimates of the
  tree's age include "at least 5,000 years", "more
  than 6,000 years", and "up to 7,000 years old".
  The tree's name is a reference to the Jomon
  period of Japanese prehistory.

  3,000 years old. It still produces olives, and
  they are highly prized. Olive trees are hardy and
  drought-, disease- and fire-resistant part of
  the reason for their longevity and their
  widespread use in the region.
