Entropy - the clock of the universe
Entropy is a measure of disorder. Low
Entropy - high order, High Entropy - high
disorder. The total entropy of the Universe,
which is an isolated system, is always
increasing. The total
entropy tend towards a maximum, corresponding to
complete disorder. Simultaneously, the available
energy of the Universe tends towards a minimum.
This means that a time must finally come that
no energy being available for us - the heat
death of our Universe. The three ages and
death by Hans Baldung Grien, simulates the
above.
