Herd Immunity Simulation

• Each person has three cards.
• RED you have the disease
• PINK you are recovering
• BLUE you are immunity

Spreading the Disease

• DAY 1 When you are infected by a diseased
  person you hold up your red card on the first day
  of your infection. You may infect another person
  within reach.
• DAY 2 You hold up your pink recovering card.
  You are still infectious so you may infect
  another person within reach.
• DAY 3 You hold up your blue card and are immune
  and cannot get or spread the disease.

Keeping Track of the Disease

• We will keep track of the number of active
  (infectious) cases each day with a show of cards.
  If you are sick (red card) or recovering (pink
  card) raise your card to be counted. After you
  have had the disease for two days you are immune
  (blue card) and you are counted as immune.

  an Epidemic Sheet.
