QUALIFICATION OF JUDGES

• 1. Must be citizen of India.
• 2.Must have completed 10 years as advocate.
• He must be a distinguished jurist.

Appointment.

• CJI is appointed by the president of India.
• Other judges are appointed by the president with
  consultation of CJI.

REMOVAL OF JUDGES.

• They can be removed by the president of India
  impeachment bill passed by 2/3 majority in the
  parliament.
• Ground- Corruption, Unsound mind, violation of
  constitution.
