Analysis
- The sky was very often covered with clouds
50-90. - Very often we found cumulus, altocumulus,
stratus - or altostratus. So we normally could not find
the contrails. - We observed two storms with nimbostratus clouds,
the worst - was Kyrill on 18th of January.
- The temperature from January to April was warmer
than - in the years ago.
- One hundred years ago we found a description
ofice and snow - in Germany in an old book.
- In another description of weather history we
found out, that - storms and thunderstorms happen very often in
the time from - January to April.
- We were very happy to observe, that our cloud
observations - and our photos showed the similar cloud coverage
as the - quicklook images at the CEN page.

Ingolf Jung Storms over Germany
www.unwetterzentrale.de shows clearly, that
in the last thirty years at least ten storms
devastated different German regions in in months
November to February.
Most of the times we watched the clouds the sky
was covered about 50 to 90, especially in
autumn and winter. The cloud image often changed
very quickly from one hour to the next. The
temperature was higher than in the years or even
in the centuries before. The connection between
the cloud images above our School and climate
change or pollution cannot be made. We only see
some hints during our observations. The
quicklooks of CEN often show a similar situation
to our cloud observations from the schools
roof. The storm Kyrill in January was not
necessarily a sign for the climate change.
Devastating storms are found in a German storm
chronicle and they occur very often in wintertime
or in spring in our region.
Procedures
Temperatures in Germany in spring The coldest
spring was in 1786 with 4,1 C Since 1990 There
have been several springstimes with a average
