Aim of the project

• Raise awareness of the REACH and CLP Regulations
• Enhance capacity of Turkish organizations to
  provide support to the Turkish exporters on the
  implementation of REACH and CLP.

What is CLP?

• Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on Classification,
  Labelling and Packing of substances and mixtures
• Amending Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD) and
  1999/45/EC (DPD)
• Amending REACH
• Implements Globally Harmonised System (GHS) of
  Classification and labelling in the EU
• Covers all 27 EU and EEA countries
• GHS sets optional building blocks from which
  countries can choose

Project approach

• Assessment of current situation and available
  capacity, information and materials
• Development of a logical system of helpdesks
  (with InfoMil and VNCI assistance)
• Training to increase capabilities of staff in the
  helpdesks contact points and the most involved
  stakeholders
• Information dissemination to Turkish industry to
  inform about the industrial helpdesks and about
  REACH and CLP Regulations.
