Visitors to Qatalum
All visitors visiting Qatalum must possess a MIC
gate pass before arriving at the MIC Gate

Visitors with Qatar ID

• When a visitor intend to visit Qatalum they need
  to inform the Qatalum employee of the visit and
  forward a copy of the Qatar ID (back and front)
  to the person via e-mail at least 24 hours prior
  to the visit.
• The Employee will then forward an e-mail to
  Qatalum Security , who will process the
  application.
• It must mention which areas to visit (e.g. Port,
  Silos, Power Plant or Smelter)
• The MIC Gate Pass permit will be ready for
  collection at the Qatalum Project Office the
  same day of visit from 0630 am.
• Upon arriving at Qatalum site, the visitor should
  meet and be accompanied by the employee or
  delegate.

Visitors with Passport and Entry Stamp

• When a visitor intend to visit Qatalum they need
  to inform the Qatalum employee of the visit and
  forward a copy of the passport with the entry
  stamp via e-mail at least 24 hours prior to the
  visit.
• The employee will then forward an e-mail to
  Qatalum Security that will process the
  application.
• It must mention which areas to visit (e.g Port,
  Silos, Power Plant or Smelter).
• The MIC Gate Pass permit will be ready for
  collection at the Qatalum Project Office the
  same day of visit from 0630 am.
• Upon arriving at Qatalum site, the visitor should
  meet and be accompanied by the employee or
  delegate.

Visitor with Passport without Entry Stamp

• When a visitor intend visiting Qatalum they need
  to inform the Qatalum employee of the visit and
  forward a copy of the passport the person via
  e-mail at least 24 hours prior to the visit.
• The employee will then forward an e-mail to
  Qatalum Security that will process the
  application.
• Once the visitors enters the country, he/she need
  to send the entry stamp to Qatalum Security via
  e-mail.
• Once the entry stamp is received the application
  will be forwarded to MIC for approval.
• If the visitor can not forward the entry stamp
  via e-mail, it needs to be delivered to the
  Qatalum Project Office ASAP.
• Once the entry stamp is hand delivered the
  application will be forwarded to MIC and will be
  available within one hour at the Qatalum Project
  Office .

Emergency MIC Gate Pass

• When an emergency MIC gate pass is required for a
  visitor, a copy of the passport must be sent to
  Qatalum Security.
• Qatalum will then process a Letter of
  Undertaking to MIC.
• The MIC permit will be processed and will be
  available within one hour for collection at the
  Qatalum Project office .
• Once the visitor arrives and before the MIC
  permit is issued, a copy of the entry stamp will
  be made and forwarded to MIC. (The forwarding of
  the stamp will not delay the visitor from
  entering the MIC area.

Visitors for Contractors

• The procedure for the contractors are the same
  except they need to complete the MIC application
  forms.
• After they have completed the forms it must be
  submitted to Qatalum Security for authorization.
• Once Security has signed the application, the
  contractor must submit it to MIC for approval and
  they must pay the fees.

Directions to Qatalum Security

1. Following the main road from Doha to Mesaieed,
   entering Mesaieed, go directly across the first
   two roundabouts.
2. On leaving the second R/A travel approximately
   700meters and use the slip-road to the right,
   (the Mesaieed Industrial Security will be on your
   right).
3. At the traffic lights turn LEFT under the
   flyover.
4. Approximately 500 meters beyond the underpass
   turn RIGHT at the sign posted Qatalum.
5. Approximately 400 meters turn LEFT into a car
   park you will have two large white buildings on
   your right.
6. The east building entrance is the Qatalum
   Security Office.
