- The Center for Women Children Empowerment
(CEWCE) is a not-for-profit, non governmental
organization which was established in 2004 in
Monrovia, Liberia, with dedicated vision to help
vulnerable women and children in the process of
reintegration, de-traumatization,
self-sustainability, empowerment and development
in post-war Liberia, and eventually in Africa. - CEWCEs main objectives are (1) to provide
sustainable development programs aimed at
empowering women and children (2) to advocate
against abuses of women and children human
rights and, (3) to promote the accomplishment of
a just, inclusive and sustainable society. - In further achieving its goals, CEWCE has
partnered with Georgia Tech University/Microsoft
Corporation in setting up the first Microsoft
Unlimited Potential Computer Lab under its
Computer Training Program. -
- It is CEWCEs aim to help less privileged
individuals and communities in Liberia achieve
their goals and dreams through relevant,
accessible, and affordable technologies. Through
integration and momentum of MUP, CEWCE can expand
the IT boundaries by - integrating IT into traditional curriculum
and/or customized training to support local job
market needs and local community service needs
that can be used to link local communities with
other communities nationally and internationally
thereby enabling - economic growth in local markets and changing
lives of the common people. - Here are testimonies of some of the graduates of
the first Microsoft Unlimited Potential training
program in Liberia.
