Recommendation considerations
  • Driller, minimum level
  • Must have had a minimum of 2 Supervisory
    certifications
  • Must be certification current
  • Must pass Supervisory level written exam
    (minimal acceptable score 80 or better)
  • Must demonstrate practical skills

Certification Cycle -
Based on a 2 year program cycle
  • If on a 4 year program, the Plus course must be
    taken within the first 2 years of the cycle, plus
    the 90 day grace period
  • Once the Plus program is taken, a regular
    WellCAP course must be alternated in the cycle

Course Structure -
  • Class size, 6 to 12 participants
  • Minimum of 6, a MUST to start the class
  • Teams a minimum of 3 participants, 4 max
  • Oral evaluation (participation in results
    delivery to class)
  • Drop-outs, no certification (must take full
    WellCAP? course no creep into testing out)

  • 4 day format
  • Minimum 3 W/C issues
  • Focused exercises
  • May include simulation or live well use
  • Each team to present results to class
  • Exercise to culminate with guideline

Day 1
  • Written test
  • Suggest no review will telegraph exam questions
  • Test to be approved by IADC Panel (Question
    distribution to be determined)
  • Practical demonstration
  • Develop teams for exercise/problem analysis
  • Lay out team expectations
  • Organize teams for consensus building

Days 2 - 4
  • Minimum 3 exercises (can be more need
    dependent)
  • Mix of how exercises flow dependent on course
    structure
  • Each exercise to contain
  • Facilitator delivery of necessary background
    information
  • Teams evaluating and recommending solutions
  • Teams delivery of class solutions and logic
  • Class developed guideline (summary)
  • Practical practice as appropriate

  • Learning outcomes (objectives) to be explicitly

  • Appropriate material given and discussed
  • Teams to develop independent solutions
  • Class to summarize with guideline
  • Develop practical exercises as appropriate

  • Team solution format
  • Identify known data
  • Define focused problem statement
  • Identify and reach consensus on a goal or
    solutions
  • Identify needed data
  • Develop solution
  • Identify implementation critical points (along
    with risks and initial actions)
  • Present results to class implement as practical
  • Capture data for files

Qualification Testing
  • Trainers will submit tests to IADC RP for
    approval
  • Minimum Passing Grade 80
  • Can take in advance thru same Training Facility
  • Allow 1 retake sit out 1yr if fail both
  • Simulator testing only given on Day 1 of Class
  • IADC will be notified of failures maintain DB
  • IADC approved Study Guide will be made available

  • Developing detailed projection thru 2004
  • 75,000 Seed Money
  • All WCP DT Companys to contribute 2000
  • Requested support from IADC and MMS
  • OOC to be contacted
  • IADC will do all accounting
