• Why a CBRN WO
• Provide the Army with a CBRN Technical Expert
  at all levels of command
• WO capable of performing both tactical and
  technical requirements (less emphasis on
  leadership experience)
• Decrease number of Branch Detail officers
  accessed into the Chemical Corps (HRC estimated
  between 30-50 decrease)
• APPROVED ON 8 JULY 2008 BY THE ARMY G1

Warrant Officer Eligibility
WO1/CW2 must - Have 20/20 Correctable Vision
Normal Color Discrimination - Normal
Hearing - U.S. Citizen, Secret Security
Clearance - MOS qualified in MOS 74D (CBRN
Specialist) - Completed MOS 74D BNCOC
Course - 8-10 Years Time in Service -
Successfully complete the CBRN Warrant Officer
Basic Course (CWOBC)

Required Training
After board selection and notification, a WO
candidate must complete the following training
- WO Candidate Course, Ft Rucker, AL (2 weeks
DL, 4 weeks resident) - Basic Officer
Leadership Course (BOLC II), Ft Sill, OK or Ft
Benning, GA (6 weeks resident) - CBRN Warrant
Basic Course, Ft Leonard Wood, MO (13 Weeks
resident)
