DICTOGLOSS

• Captain Cook , a British navigator, was the first
  person to reach Australian East Coast. While his
  ship was on Australia his sailors brought a
  strange animal on board, and Cook wanted to know
  the name of the unusual creature. He sent his men
  ashore to inquire the name with the inhabitants.
  The sailors asked the natives what the name of
  the animal was and they said Kangaroo . The
  settlers of course believed the name of the
  animal was kangaroo.
• Years later, they discovered that Kangaroo
  means What did you say ?, but today the animal is
  still called Kangaroo.

• It was a 2 day in 5. I was in 9 and I was
  drinking some 14. Suddenly, the phone rang. It
  was 3 and friends. They were 15 because I was
  late. So, I put on my 1/10 and picked up my 13.
• I made sure that 4 the 7 had some 8, and left. I
  quickly travelled by 6 and went to 11. When I
  arrived , I was surprised to see my friends were
  12 there.

The bad cold dictation

• The idea is for the reader of a text to cough or
  sneeze every time a word is missing.
• Pupils will come up with whatever word they want.
