Online Chat is a way of communicating with people
from all over the world at the same time. It
enables anyone in a group to write messages that
are instantly seen by everyone in the group.

1.1.3 How does Chat work
Online chat make uses of the client-server
technology. A client is a computer that uses the
services of another computer called a Server. The
chat client runs on your computer and sends and
receives message to and from a chat server. The
chat server, in turn, is responsible for making
sure that all messages are broadcasted to
everyone participating in a discussion.
