WHY IT IS EASY TO RECYCLE GLASS

• Glass is an ecologic container because

  and then this glass can be melted for obtaining a

  20 lighter. In Italy, each bottle is produced
  with recycled glass in proportion of 50.

TIPS FOR RECYCLING GLASS

• Wash the glass bottles and containers
• Take off the corks and put them in the right
  disposal bin in base of the material they are
  made put the glass bottles in the right
• Other type of glass as windows, mirrors,
  windshield must be taken to the ecological
  points.

In Italy, the advantages of glass collection and
recycling, in terms of environment and productive
gains, can be summed up to 1.2 billion euro.
GLASS COLLECTION AND RECYCLING The glass
obtained through differentiated waste collection
is shiped to SELECTION AND STORAGE CENTRES.
Here, the various types of glass are separated
and broken, and through the use of special
electromagnets, the metal rings around the
closures are removed. The glass containers are
destined mainly to household use 88.7 of glass
containers thrown away come from urban domestic
waste.

Waste disposal is essential for the safeguard of
the environment and for economic growth.
Differentiating the raw materials, we can
reintroduce them in the productive cycle and
create new objects with a lower cost and
safeguarding the environment.
Has the system of waste collection undergone some
changes lately?
The system has had some variations in the centre
of Budrio where the garbage bins have been
replaced with door to door collection.
What is the amount of waste collection in 2009?
Are there penalties or fines for who does not
respect these laws?
In the Municipality of Budrio 10208 tons of
waste were collected of which only 30 was
recuperated.
Yes, there are fines up to 500 for who throws
garbage on the street.
