HPB ON THE HEART
  • In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says, I am the Ego
seated in the hearts of all beings. H.P.B. says
in her article Psychic and Noetic Action, that
the heart is the organ par excellence through
    which the Higher Ego acts.

W.Q. JUDGE ON THE HEART
  • W. Q. Judge, Where, then, is the subconscious
mind? And where are the channels and how are
they connected? I think through the heart, and
the heart is the key to it all, and the brain is
only the servant of the heart. (Letters That
    Have Helped Me)

5
BEAT TO BEAT VARIATION
  • While the rhythmic beating of the heart at rest
was once believed to be monotonously regular, we
now know that the rhythm of a healthy heart under
    resting conditions is actually surprisingly
    irregular. These moment-to-moment variations in
heart rate are easily overlooked when average
heart rate is calculated. Heart rate variability
(HRV), derived from the electrocardiogram (ECG),
is a measurement of these naturally occurring,
beat-to-beat changes in heart rate. Rollin
McCraty, Ph.D., Director of Research, Institute
    of HeartMath.

BIOELECTROMAGNETIC
  • Human fibroblasts fibrosarcoma cells
  • Evidence that clinicians coherence can change
    the physiology of patient.
  • No evidence we are vulnerable to others
    incoherence.
  • Is evidence that heart rhythms of one person can
influence the brain waves of another.

TWO DESIRES
  • The desires and passions, therefore, have two
aspects, the one being low and the other high.
The low is that shown by the constant placing of
the consciousness entirely below in the body and
the astral body the high comes from the
influence of and aspiration to the trinity above,
of Mind, Buddhi, and Spirit. This fourth
principle is like the sign Libra in the path of
the Sun through the Zodiac when the Sun (who is
the real man) reaches that sign he trembles in
the balance. Should he go back the worlds would
be destroyed he goes onward, and the whole human
race is lifted up to perfection. W.Q. Judge, The
    Ocean of Theosophy, pp. 46-7

Kama Deva
  • Kama is the first conscious, all embracing desire
for universal good, love, and for all that lives
and feels, needs help and kindness, the first
feeling of infinite tender compassion and mercy
that arose in the consciousness of the creative
ONE Force, as soon as it came into life and being
as a ray from the ABSOLUTE. Theosophical
    Glossary

CATACLYSMS AND THOUGHT
  • William Q. Judges Aphorism 30 Karma
operates to produce cataclysms of nature by
concatenation through the mental and astral
planes of being. A cataclysm may be traced to an
immediate physical cause such as internal fire
and atmospheric disturbance, but these have been
brought on by the disturbance created through the
dynamic power of human thought. Path Magazine
    1893

12
THE NEW AGE
  • What should concern you is that this prophecy of
a coming enlightenment is echoed in virtually
every faith and philosophical tradition on earth.
Hindus call it the Krita Age, astrologers call
it the Age of Aquarius, the Jews describe the
coming of the Messiah, theosophists call it the
New Age, cosmologists call it Harmonic
Convergence and predict the actual date. Dan
Brown, The Lost Symbol p. 509

13
KAMA MANAS/BUDDHI MANAS
  • The brain appears to be the channel for duality
(Kama Manas). The heart a channel for
    spirituality (Buddhi Manas).
  • These concepts are significantly reflected
    throughout the Theosophical literature. Theosophy
planted many seeds in the world which are rushing
forward in todays world at incredible speed.
The work being done at HeartMath represents this
    expression. Their suggestions of positive
feelings of love, compassion, and care for our
planet found in the Global Coherence Initiative
reminds one of a concept found in Hindu and
    Theosophical literature of Kama Deva.

DESIRE NOTHING
  • Kill out desire but if thou killest it, take
heed lest from the dear it should again arise.
  • Kill out love of life but if thou slayest
Tanha1, let this not be for thrist of life
eternal, but to replace the fleeting by the
    everlasting.
  • Desire nothing. Chafe not at Karma, nor at
Nature's changeless laws. But struggle only with
the personal, the transitory, the evenescent and
    the perishable
