Setting
  • The setting takes place in Philadelphia at high
    school. The time period takes place in the
    afternoon and mainly at night time. The main
    character Ashley lives in a very rich
    neighborhood including her friends.

Characters
  • Ashley- The main character in the story. Her
    personality is very stuck up and doesn't care
    about anyone but herself until it comes to Nat
    needing her help for prom. She has blonde hair
    and very pretty eyes.
  • TJ- Ashleys boyfriend in the story. He has kind
    of the same personality as Ashley, except he is
    very popular. TJ always wears a blue hoodie with
    a silver chain. He has brown hair and gorgeous
    eyes Ashley says.

  • Nat- She is very gossipy and has a crush on TJ.
    She is the president of the student council and
    is organized. Her personality is extremely
    up-tight and her physical characteristics include
    brown hair and green eyes.

Plot Conflict
  • The problem in the story is that the math teacher
    steals the money they have raised to decorate the
    prom. So Natalie asks Ashley to help raise the
    money in 11 days so that they will have enough
    money to create the best prom ever.
  • Will they raise enough money or not?
  • TJ and Ashley break up.

Plot Resolution
  • It turns out that they raise enough money for the
    prom and create the prom in the cafeteria. Ashley
    at first decides not to go to the prom, but when
    Nat begs her, she goes ahead and goes to the
    prom. TJ turns out being there and they get back
    together. It was the best prom ever!

  • My opinion of the book was that it was one of the
    best books I have ever read. I personally think
    the book was better than the movie.
