SOME INTERESTING COMMENTS ON MOVIE
NIGHTS Letters from the Park, by Gabriel García
Márquez, was a fantastic movie. Really, it had
everything I look for in a movie. A movie plus
interaction with other Spanish students, and the
chance to hear the language in a more quickly,
spoken manner is helpful to me. It is good to
have this, gives people time to relax, while at
the same time they are learning. I am looking
forward to the next one. These movies are a great
idea, they should continue. Adam, Elementary
Spanish. On Letters from the Park The message
behind this film was one of love and I thought it
really brought out the Hispanic culture. The role
of death in this movie really showed the Hispanic
view about death. The Hispanics celebrate death
and are much more open about it than are
Americans. This film really taught me a lot about
the culture. Daniel, Elementary Spanish. The
movie Miracle in Rome was a very different movie,
especially dealing with cultural variations that
are present between Latin America and the United
States. I thought it was a very interesting movie
in the way that plot laid out. Matt, Elementary
Spanish.
futuro. Ashley, Intermediate Spanish. On
Me doy
cuenta que otras culturas tienen creencias
diferentes que nosotros. Libby, Intermediate
Spanish.
parejas. No necesitamos de mediadores para ser
amados. Lilia, Intermediate Spanish.
