Background
According to Reports
  • Ninety percent of the people are suffering from
Skin diseases, caused by the environment
pollution in Pakistan, especially in rural areas.
  • There are more than 10,000 kinds of skin
diseases. Some of the Skin diseases are very
serious and could cause Skin cancer if they are
    not treated timely and properly.
  • Low standard of living, lack of education of the
general public, non improvement in the
    environmental, sanitation, and non availability
of good nutritious food and sweet/purified water
are the main causes of skin diseases in the rural
    areas.

Free Eye Camps
Background
  • Every day hundreds of people across Pakistan go
blind, often from preventable causes. Those most
affected masses live in rural areas where they
are not in a position to travel to approach big
cities for help. They can't afford even the
    expense to travel.
  • According to survey reports, across Pakistan more
than 1.49 to 1.54 million people are totally
blind yet much of this blindness is avoidable.
Cataract blindness accounts for approximately 70
    of cases.
  • While people in Western countries have had ready
access to cataract surgery, in Pakistan this is
not the case. Most eye care services are only
available in Pakistan's major cities, yet about
71 of the population lives in rural areas
without access to health services .
