• Abbreviated Explanation of the Calculations

Calculations - Abbreviated

• In order to complete the list, data from both
  high schools and elementary/middle schools were
  leveled
• Two sets of data were utilized for math and
  English language arts
• Proficiency 2007-2008 and 2008-2009
• Positive/negative improvement slope For high
  schools - 2006-2007, 2007-2008, 2008-2009, For
  elementary/middle schools 2007-08, 2008-09
• These scores were averaged to find the schools
  combined average score
• That score was converted to the schools
  percentile score which was compared with the
  scores of all other schools in the state
• The comparison score is the schools percentile
  ranking with the other schools in the state

  abbreviated calculations.

• Less than 30 Full Academic Year students with
  scores on Mathematics in the most recent two
  years
• Less than 30 Full Academic Year students with
  scores on English Language Arts in the most
  recent two years
