is very old and beautiful. It was founded more
than two thousand years ago.

Traditionally London is divided into several
parts the City, the West end, the East End and
Westminster.The City is the oldest part of
London, its financial and business centre. The
heart of the City is the Stock Exchange.

Thames is used mainly by pleasure boats. There
are many things to see along the Thames.

London, such as the Tower, the Houses of
Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square,
St. Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace.

On the Houses of Parliament one can see the
famous Clock Tower Big Ben, the symbol of
London.Big Ben is the real bell, which strikes
every quarter of an hour.

Tower Bridge is one of the Landmarks of London.
Tower Bridge is a fine example of Victorian
engineering. These fairy-tale structure was build
in 1894.

Buckingham Palace has been the official royal
residence since 1837.There are about 600 rooms
at the palace.When the Queen is staying in the
palace the Royal Standard flag flies above the
central balcony. About 400 people work at the

sitting room
