There are 530 lecturers 320 research staff
25,000 students 760 technical and administration
staff. In 2002 the Politecnico balance sheet
shows an income of 216 milion Euros, of which 103
milion come from the government. Almost 700
research project contracts in collaboration with
industries and government-funded institutions
provide an income of around 19 milion Euros each
year.

Every year there are more than 170,000 hours of
lectures and practical exercises there are also
libraries, fully-equipped laboratories, computer
centres, co-operative research project and
exchanges with the leading European and American
universities. During the past 10 years the
Politecnico di Torino has doubled in size and
capability, offering its students excellence. A

• The Centro per i Servizi Teledidattici e
  Multimediali of the Politecnico (Ce.Te.M.) was
  founded by the Admnistration Counsil of the
  Politecnico di Torino to manage activities
  focused on eLearning.
• In particular
• video-lectures production for distance
  learning on video and web-based media(in
  collaboration with the consorzio NETTUNO)
• center for television and multimedia production
  (with the collaboration of young enterprises)
• reasearch on distance learning

The Laboratorio Multimediale of the Politecnico
di Torino (LAMP) is a joint initiative between
the Politecnico di Torino and Consorzio per la
Ricerca e lEducazione Permanente. It is a point
of reference to university teachers, students and
other organisations interested in the use and
development of multi-media educational methods.
LAMP offers its technical support and vast
experience, together with its know-how in
increasing productivity, reducing costs and
improving product quality.

• LAMPs range of activities covers all the phases
  of development of multi-media application, both
  on a PC as well as on the Net. LAMP also
  organises
• courses on the production of multi-media
  interactive teaching tools for schools,
  universities and in the workplace
• seminars and workshops on multi-mediality and on
  new technology for teaching and permanent
  education, both nationally and internationally

It starts in october 2000 with a project
financied at 80 by Ministero dellIstruzione,
