E Where are the worlds tectonic plates located? (8th grade prep)
A Interpret a cartoon.
T Show videos. (approximately 4 min) Create map of Earths plates using world physical map. Color and label map of Earths plates. Students will also need a pen and crayons. Group quiz over plate locations. (i.e., Which plate is Sri Lanka on? Which plates share Iceland? Which plate is edged by islands? Which plate is the Kamchatka peninsula on?)
S Complete plate identification sheet using the map as a guide.
