Week of September 23rd September 27th
Dear Parents,

This week we are learning about MATH-
Division Review Students will learn how to
solve 2 by 1 multiplication problems. They will
also practice breaking apart problems and they
will practice multi step story problems. LANGUAGE
ARTS- Students will be learning comprehension
strategies in reading, and they will learn about
figurative language. SOCIAL STUDIES and
SCIENCE- We will learn about properties and
purposes of soil. HOMEWORK- Mondays homework
sheet is due Wednesday morning. Thursdays is
due on Friday morning. Continue reading and
working on multiplication facts.
Parent/Teacher conferences will be September
30th-October 4th. Please sign up for a
parent/teacher conference by choosing a time slot
in the e-mail I sent to parents that had not
previously signed up. I will send home
confirmations this week for the parents that have

child returning to school for the offices

.Upcoming Events September 25-Our class will go
to the book fair from 830-900 a.m. to purchase
books. September 26- PTA Meeting/ Hot dog supper/
Book fair September 27 End of the 1st 6 weeks
Sept. 30-Oct. 4 Early Release week for
parent/teacher conferences. Early release is at
1250.
