Purpose of training 1
  • The program is developed for the former Eastern
    Europe
  • It can be shaped according to the specific
    situation of a group, so it will be tailor made
  • For those who have finished an Eastern European
    Psychoanalytic Training program according to the
    standards of the IPA (for example the Amsterdam
    school).

Purpose of training 2
  • This program can bridge the gap between finishing
    the training and becoming a study group.
  • It can also be interesting for existing study
    groups
  • Next to that, it can function as an supervision
    group for those cases which cannot be discussed
    (because of confidentiality) at home

Format of the training
  • The training consists of 6 meetings/ weekends
    over two years
  • Every weekend will be given by 2 qualified
    teachers
  • Every weekend has a specific theme

Our Program 1
  • The program consists of the following elements
    which will be there every meeting
  • A. Theory about teaching and supervising
  • B. Theory about difficulties related to the
    development of psychoanalytic institutions

  • C. Reflection Applying the theory mentioned
    under A and B to the practical situation of the
    members of the group
  • D. Group supervision one of the participants is
    presenting a supervisory case in the group, one
    of the teachers is supervising the case in the
    group.

    against the developmental approach.
  • B Problems related to the creation of
    psychoanalytical institutions understanding
    group mechanisms in general and related to
    psychoanalytical institutions

    process (initial middle).
  • B Problems related to the creation of
    psychoanalytical institutions knowledge of the
    different functions in a psychoanalytic group,
    how to differentiate them and create
    structures/bounderies

    (the issue of evaluation of the supervisant).
  • B Ethics how to deal with ethical matters the
    formation of an ethical committee

  • Content of the Program can be shaped according
    to the specific situation of the group where the
    program will be given
  • Place Can be everywhere, depends where the
    majority of the group comes from
  • Costs The costs of travelling and living and a
    small fee because of the loss of income by the
    teachers, and the copies of the literature. It
    will be somewhere between 85 and 100 euros per
    person per meeting
  • WhenThe next training will start in February
    2012. The meetings can be in February, June and
    October 2012/2013
