  necklaces, etc.

• Put on anti-static wrist strap
• Adjust strap if too loose
• Connect to bare metal when working in the computer

• Unscrew two screws
• Slide cover off

Keep the screws on the cover so you dont lose
them

• Take a look around the inside
• Do you know any parts?

Remove the screw on the first card
Remove the cable from the first card

Sound Card

• What does the Sound Card do?
• Put the sound card and screw on the cover

NIC Network Interface Card

• What does the NIC do?
• Put the NIC and screw on the cover

Remove the screw on the third card

Video Card

• What does the Video Card do?
• Put the Video Card and screw on the cover

Look at the connectors on the motherboard
VGP
PCI

Look at the RAM slots

Push the clips back and remove the RAM

Notice that the RAM will only go in the slot one
way

Replace the RAM but DO NOT touch the clips. Each
person take a turn removing and replacing

Look at the Hard Drive

Remove the power connector

Look at the data cable there is a notch on one
side

• Re-connect in reverse order
• Hard Drive
• Video Card
