Syllabus

• Hard copies available upon request.

• SC Curriculum standards are also available on the

Homework

• We will have homework Monday-Thursday of each
  week.
• Homework will be posted on the newsletter and on
  our classroom blog.
• Each child should read for 15 minutes each night
  and have his/her reading log signed.
• Homework is to be done at home!
• One assignment per week will be graded at random
  and homework grades will be averaged monthly.

will not have a S.S. grade on progress reports.
We alternate science and social studies.

Birthdays

• Small birthday treats can be sent in during lunch
  (remember that we are trying to reinforce healthy
  eating habits). Some suggested snacks are
• small muffins
• small cupcakes
• cookie cake
• small ice cream cups
• yogurt cups
• cookies
• trail mix
• Please keep in mind that we have students with
  allergies.

Ways you can help at home

• Ask your child specific questions about their day
  at school.
• Visit our class blog.
• Read to and with your child.
• Provide time and space to do work.
• Review work sent home.
• Share your concerns and questions with me.
  Remember we are on the same team!

• If you have access to a copy machine and would be
  willing to run copies from home please see sign
  up sheet. Copies are very limited this year!
