Homework Policy
  • 5th Grade Homework Policy
  • All assignments should be daily recorded in the
    planner.  
  • Missed homework assignments will cost the
    students 1 Spartan Cash.
  • All homework is graded.
  • Homework points will be lost by
  • turning in incomplete work
  • turning in illegible work
  • not turning work in by 915 AM the following day
    for partial credit

Zero Credit Policy
  • For long range assignments, zero credit will be
    assigned two days past the due date.  
  • Email notification will be sent home.

Classroom Management Plan
  • All teachers will be following the
  • Hard Work Pays Off in 5th Grade
  • system this year. The students will
  • earn Spartan cash for doing the right
  • thing this year. They will use that
  • cash to buy into a lot of memorable
  • experiences!

25 Book Challenge
  • Read 20 novels
  • Read 5 non-fiction selections
  • Fill out a small note card on each book
  • as proof of completion
  • One book per month can also count as the
    students Book-it obligation. No formal book
    reports.

Skyward Parent Portal
  • Skyward is the system on which we keep records
    for students, including grades.
  • The parent portal will allow you, as parents to
    view current assignments, grades and missing
    assignments/tests.
  • Please allow enough time for grades to be added.
    Most teachers only update Skyward weekly.

    software is used to help students master all
    important elements of reading.
