  • Meeting between CAA, HASA IAPs on 16 Dec 02
    resolved - Cape Town Helicopter Pilots Noise
    Abatement Charter.
  • flights across the top of Table Mountain will
    cease
  • there will be a return route to the Waterfront
    following the railway line towards Kenilworth
    race track and then the N1.
  • Areas close to the mountain in both the City Bowl
    and the Newlands/Fernwood areas are to be
    avoided.
  • Involvement of the National Minister

  • FRAs involvement in stakeholders meeting with
    legal assistance

    dealt with
  • The institution of blue routes mandatory flight
    paths for light aircraft flying under controlled
    airspace and
  • Noise abatement
  • Proposals for BLUE ROUTES were requested by the
    end of September and will be forwarded via the
    Unicity to the Airspace management committee.
    The process could take up to a year.
  • There is to be a report back meeting sometime in
    November to discuss progress on this matter
